- I recently purchased a Motorola Lifestyle 28.8 modem and have had no
- problems using with termimal software like Procomm, etc. I also signed up
- for internet access through a local provider and setup the dialup network.
- When using my old 9600 baud modem, I get a good connection with no
- garbage. With the new modem, it connects and the terminal window pops up
- to login. Alot of garbage appears along with the login prompts and before
- I can enter anything, it disconnects. Is their a problem with Windows 95
- and the Motorola modem? I've double checked everything and even used the
- same initialization string in Procomm and nothing seems to work. It's
- weird my Intel 9600 works, but the Lifestyle does not, even with the same
- settings. Any suggestions? Should I take it back?
